Man killed with bow and arrow, Chinese shoots himself in the foot
Maria David A MURDER case is investigated by the Omusati police after a man was shot dead with a bow and arrow at Uutsathima location in Okahao.
The deceased is 48-year-old Uukongo Johannes. According to the police, the incident occurred on Friday around 20:30.
“It is alleged that a fight erupted between the two men and the suspect then shot the victim with a bow and arrow once in the right armpit causing instant death,” the police said.
It is still unclear what caused the fight. The suspect has been arrested. In a separate incident, a 37-year-old Chinese national was admitted to hospital after shooting himself in the foot.
The incident happened around 20:00 at Ongwediva Medipark. According to police, the man was inspecting his newly acquired firearm when the shot went off. He is reported to be in a stable condition.
